UVA guard Kyle Guy declares for NBA draft

The University of Virginia’s Big Three have now all declared for the NBA draft, just more than a week after winning the school’s first NCAA men’s basketball national championship. Kyle Guy on Tuesday joined teammates Ty Jerome and De’Andre Hunter, who both declared Monday, announcing on Twitter that he would test the NBA draft waters while leaving the door open that he could return to Charlottesville next season. “I set a goal with my brothers when we committed to UVA. Three years later, we accomplished that goal of winning a national championship. I also set a goal for myself to play in the NBA. Sunday morning dawned crisp and clear in Charlottesville—a hero’s welcome for the Virginia Cavaliers basketball team, who returned from Louisville as champions of the South Region and with tickets punched to the Final Four. Fans gathered at Disharoon Park a little after 3:00 PM to greet the Hoos with raucous applause. Dave Koehn served as master of ceremonies, while coach Tony Bennett addressed the crowd.
